Placon Introduces New Line of Tamper Evident Deli Containers Made with 100% EcoStar Recycled PET

The Evolutions deli line features easy open/easy close recyclable containers, made from 100% EcoStar recycled PETE, a material derived from curbside collected PET bottles and thermoforms.
With the growing demand for deli containers manufactured with recycled content, Placon now offers Evolutions™, a new line of environmentally responsible deli containers that feature tamper-evident lids with tight-fitting, high performance seals assuring maximum product freshness.
The Evolutions deli line features easy open/easy close recyclable containers, made from 100% EcoStar recycled PETE, a material derived from curbside collected PET bottles and thermoforms. The deli containers feature superb clarity for visual impact and strong leak resistance making them ideal for cold, ready-to-eat deli foods including pasta salads, fruit and vegetables as well as nuts and candy.
To open an Evolutions container, a tab at the corner of the lid must be bent upward. Once the tab is in the open position it remains upright, alerting customers that the container’s seal has been compromised.
Deli Containers That Benefit Consumers and Food Processors
In addition to consumer benefits, Evolutions is beneficial for food processors with two design options available including a recessed, or inside fit lid which allows for secure container stacking as well as a film sealed container with an over cap lid allowing extra room for product per container. The unique, tamper-evident lid fits all five, square deli container sizes ranging from 8 to 32 oz allowing retailers to reduce inventory while maximizing shelf space.
